HKUST Regtech Manpower Study

The RegTech Association of Hong Kong warmly invites you to participate in the Regtech Manpower Study by the School of Business and Management of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST Business School), to be conducted through an online survey exercise in March 2022.

This study aims to support Hong Kong’s development as a leading financial center in the world by systematically understanding the talent situation of the regtech industry under a technology-driven transformation. Specifically, to pinpoint any manpower challenges and issues arising from the emergence of regtech, estimate the demand and supply of talents for regtech professions, and identify the talent gaps in these professions. The outcome will be invaluable for offering policymakers and educators to ensure adequate supply of talent that matches the needs of the industry, and also for companies to be informed of the required capabilities that are crucial to maintain their competitiveness, and ultimately, reinforce Hong Kong’s status as an international financial center in this age of technological disruptions.

Given the strategic importance of this study, we are highly supportive of the study and all the efforts going behind the research. You are greatly encouraged to participate in this study where your involvement would be essential to facilitate meaningful outcomes. Findings from the survey will be shared with the RegTech Association of Hong Kong  and our members. Depending on needs, HKUST will conduct a briefing for us on the findings and share insights on the way forward.

To participate in the aforementioned online survey, please register or nominate a designated contact person for your organization via https://bit.ly/3suL6X7 or email regtechsur@ust.hk to be engaged for further coordination. HKUST will then follow up accordingly with the nominated individual.

Should you have any questions on this circular, please do not hesitate to reach out to HKUST Business School via regtechsur@ust.hk or direct line (852) 2358 8748.
